Inglenook Farms is owned and operated by Deborah Sharp, LCSW and Jim Sharp, MD.  We have a combined family of 9 children and 8 grandchildren, and although most of them are launched into lives of their own they still manage to be involved in some aspect of operations.

As a family, we have always loved animals and the land, especially the Post Oak Savannah area Northeast of Austin, Texas.  Inglenook is located on approximately 40 acres with separate facilities for Angoras and Alpacas.  We came to fiber animals from a desire to raise livestock with gentle personalities whose product can be made into useful items of beauty.

As we retire from the intense demands of medical practice and social work we have found a lifestyle that is fascinating, healing and meaningful.  Through this web site and its associated newsletter we will share our journey with you, and we hope to be a part of your own process of creativity and fulfillment.

We must get beyond our textbooks, go out into the bypaths...and tell the world the glories of our journeys.  John Hope Franklin
